IRM Energy Secures Five-year RLNG Supply Agreement With GSPCL

Strategic deal enhances fuel supply, supports clean energy transition, and drives sustainable growth
IRM Energy (IRMEL) has signed a five-year regasified liquefied natural gas (RLNG) supply agreement with Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation (GSPCL), ensuring a stable and cost-effective energy supply for its customers. The agreement will see IRM Energy procure 65,76,000 MMBtu (approximately 174.44 MMSCM at 9500 kCal Gross Calorific Value) of RLNG over the next five years.
The agreement, which was formally signed by IRM Energy Directors Badri Mahapatra and Amitabha Banerjee, follows a similar deal made earlier this year with Shell Energy India Private. In total, these agreements secure 1,88,97,200 MMBtu of RLNG and Domestic Gas, reinforcing IRM Energy’s strategy of expanding its energy sourcing portfolio. These long-term contracts are designed to provide stable and uninterrupted gas supplies to industrial and commercial sectors, thus supporting growth across multiple industries in India.
IRM Energy’s collaboration with GSPCL also aligns with the company’s broader sustainability goals, said the company. By offering cleaner, more cost-effective fuel options, the deal supports India’s energy security, helping industries transition to low-carbon alternatives. The partnership also advances IRM Energy’s vision of contributing to India’s clean energy transition by providing reliable fuel solutions that reduce both environmental impact and operational costs for industrial customers.
Commenting on the agreement, Manoj Kumar Sharma, CEO of IRM Energy, said, “This collaboration is a crucial step in our mission to provide sustainable, affordable energy solutions. By securing a stable supply of natural gas, we are driving industrial growth and encouraging the widespread adoption of clean energy alternatives in India.”
