Avaada To Invest Rs 9,200 Cr In Rajasthan’s Green Energy Expansion

Project aims to generate 1,600 green jobs, cut 2 million tonnes of CO₂ a year, and conserve 6 million litres of water

Avaada Group has unveiled plans to invest more than Rs 9,200 crore in renewable energy projects across the state of Rajasthan. The programme encompasses the development of a 1,560 MWp solar power project integrated with a 2,500 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (Bess) at Pugal in Bikaner, alongside a 200 MW (282 MWp) solar facility at Shri Dungargarh. The projects are designed to strengthen grid stability and support the country’s ambitious renewable energy targets.

The foundation stone for the Pugal project was laid and the Dungargarh facility inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, reflecting the strategic importance of the initiatives at both national and regional levels. The developments are expected to create more than 1,600 green jobs, curb over two million tonne of CO₂ emissions annually and save approximately six million litre of water per year through the use of robotic cleaning technologies.
