Adani Firm Wins Bid to Hook Up Giant Renewables Park To India’s Grid

A meeting was held in London Wednesday, as a part of a worldwide roadshow aimed at reassuring international investors that the ports-to-power empire’s finances are under control, after as much as USD 153 billion in combined market value was erased from company stocks following a January short seller’s report

Adani Energy Solutions  intends to invest thirty billion rupees, or USD 360 million, in building a power line that will harvest electricity from the largest renewable energy park in the world. According to a filing on Wednesday, Gautam Adani’s conglomerate’s power infrastructure business successfully bid for and won the Halvad transmission project. The project is expected to be finished in two years.

The Halvad line will use electricity produced at Gujarat’s Khavda Park, where India intends to install a staggering 30 gigawatts of solar and wind power in order to take advantage of the vast expanses of sun-kissed land along the western coast of the nation. At the location, Adani plans to construct 20 GW of hybrid capacity.

The business stated on Wednesday that the 301-kilometer power line, which is connected to the national grid, is expected to extract 7 GW of electricity from the Khavda park.
