Nexzu Mobility Plans To Set Up Smart EV Park In Gujarat, Invest Rs 5,000 Cr In 10 Years

The EV Smart Park will also support start-up entities who have a vision and technology but lack the infrastructure, mechanical engineering and operations expertise required to kickstart their operations

Nexzu Mobility, founded by Atulya Mittal, has introduced plans to establish a smart Electric Vehicle (EV) park in Gujarat, with a proposed investment of Rs 5,000 crore over the next decade. The company has entered into an initial memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the state government to commence the project once land allocation is completed. Nexzu Mobility anticipates generating employment for over 5,000 individuals through this initiative.

The proposed smart EV park aims to function as a centralised hub, offering comprehensive solutions for EV companies, professionals, owners and users. It envisions an ecosystem that fosters infrastructure sharing and concentrated services in one area. The park aligns with Gujarat’s emphasis on clean energy, mobility, high-tech manufacturing and innovation, positioning the state as a notable EV manufacturing hub.

Designed as an industrial park, the smart EV facility will feature ready-to-move-in manufacturing facilities, common testing and research and development units, as well as residential, educational and healthcare amenities. Additionally, the park plans to provide training facilities for professionals in electronics, battery manufacturing, powertrains and other EV components.

Atulya Mittal emphasised the significance of Gujarat as an ideal destination for the Smart EV Park, citing its alignment with clean energy goals and support for the ‘Make-in-India, Make-for-the-World’ initiative. Nexzu Mobility envisions the park as a transformative development in the Indian EV ecosystem, acting as a key player in the country’s efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Chintamani Sardesai, Business Head at Nexzu Mobility, highlighted the park’s role in supporting Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and battery manufacturers, catering to both commercial and passenger vehicle segments. The Smart EV Park also aims to provide assistance to start-up entities lacking the necessary infrastructure and expertise to initiate their operations, further contributing to the development of the overall EV ecosystem in India.
