In a pivotal moment for Gujarat’s economic landscape, the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit (VGGS) 2024 set the stage for a historic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony in Gandhinagar. The event, graced by the esteemed presence of Industry Minister Balvantsinh Rajput and Water Resources Minister Kunvarji Bavaliya, witnessed the formalization of 30 MoUs, collectively valued at a staggering Rs. 24,707 crores.

The visionary leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the guidance of Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel propelled this transformative initiative, marking the 10th edition of the prestigious summit scheduled for January 2024. Representatives from distinguished companies and various government departments converged at VGGS 2024, underscoring its significance as a catalyst for economic growth.

The MoUs inked during the ceremony spanned a spectrum of sectors, showcasing Gujarat’s commitment to holistic development. Noteworthy projects encompassed minerals, innovative urban development, townships, chemicals, petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, jewellery manufacturing, green and solar energy, textile and apparel parks, engineering, automotive, animal healthcare, ethanol production, industrial parks, water supply, and skill development, among others.

The collaborative efforts formalized in these MoUs are projected to unleash a wave of employment opportunities, directly and indirectly benefitting over 38,000 youth across diverse sectors in the state. This infusion of investment and job creation signals a transformative phase for Gujarat, aligning with the state’s vision for sustainable development.

The MoU signing ceremony saw the Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, K. Kailashnathan, Additional Chief Secretary of Industries and Mines, S. J. Haider, and senior officials from relevant departments in attendance. Representatives from renowned companies also participated, marking the collaborative spirit that underlines VGGS 2024 as a pivotal moment in Gujarat’s journey towards economic prosperity and inclusive growth.
