Ireda Loan Sanctions Jump 86% To Rs 33,148 Cr In H1

State owned renewable energy financier expands loan book to Rs 84,445 crore, pledges stronger push for clean energy project
The Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (Ireda) has sanctioned loans worth Rs 33,148 crore in the first half of FY26, an 86 per cent rise from Rs 17,860 crore in the same period last year.
Loan disbursements also grew strongly, climbing 54 per cent to Rs 15,043 crore in april to september, against Rs 9,787 crore in the corresponding period of FY25, the company said in a statement on Wednesday.
The state-owned non-banking financial company’s outstanding loan book stood at Rs 84,445 crore as of 30 September 2025, up 31 per cent from Rs 64,564 crore a year earlier.
Pradip Kumar Das, Chairman and Managing Director of Ireda, said the agency would continue to build on this momentum by scaling up support for renewable energy projects in line with India’s green transition targets.
Ireda operates under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy and plays a crucial role in financing clean energy projects across the country.
