ICCPL Foundation Supports Education For Vulnerable Children At Apnelog NGO
As part of its #RahatWithICCPL campaign, the Foundation extended support to Apnelog’s Street to School (Padhega India to Bhadhega India) initiative
ICCPL Foundation, the CSR arm of ICCPL Group, visited Apnelog NGO to understand the conditions and learning needs of abandoned and vulnerable children living at the organisation’s shelter. The visit focused on the everyday challenges the children face—ranging from emotional support gaps to limited access to consistent education.
As part of its #RahatWithICCPL campaign, the Foundation extended support to Apnelog’s Street to School (Padhega India to Bhadhega India) initiative, which works to ensure basic education for children from disadvantaged backgrounds. During the visit, ICCPL Foundation distributed essential academic materials intended to aid the learning process of students enrolled in the programme.
Ambika Saxena, CEO of ICCPL Foundation, said the interaction highlighted the importance of sustained educational access for children in vulnerable circumstances. She noted that many of the children continue to show interest in studies despite facing social and emotional hurdles.
The Foundation’s work at Apnelog comes alongside other activities under its #RahatWithICCPL campaign, such as a blanket distribution drive for homeless individuals during winter and a menstrual hygiene awareness initiative that included sanitary pad distribution and discussions with women in low-income communities.
In a separate outreach effort, ICCPL Foundation also visited the Air Force Golden Jubilee Institute, a special needs school in New Delhi run by the Air Force Families Welfare Association (AFFWA), where it contributed Rs 50,000 to support the school’s welfare programmes.
The Foundation said it will continue to engage with organisations working on child welfare, education access and basic community needs. Its ongoing initiatives aim to address immediate requirements such as educational materials and winter essentials while bringing attention to longer-term structural issues facing children from marginalised backgrounds.
