AM Green Ties Up With Envision Energy For Wind Turbines, Green Hydrogen

Greenko founders’ firm AM Green will join forces with Chinese multinational Envision Energy to produce wind turbines in India for their green energy projects. The collaboration extends to net-zero industrial parks and green hydrogen initiatives in both India and on a global scale

The founders of Greenko Group own AM Green, a hydrogen and green ammonia enterprise, and Envision Energy International, a smart wind power technology firm based in Shanghai, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The agreement, which was inked during the World Economic Forum’s Annual Summit in Davos, details their cooperation on green hydrogen initiatives as well as their production of wind turbines for AM Green’s clean energy projects in India. AM Green wants to commit to offtaking at least 2 GW of capacity annually through its customers over the next three years. This collaboration supports AM Green’s goal of providing an efficient, round-the-clock power supply for green molecular factories around the country and is in line with its larger ambition to create a safe supply chain for reasonably priced wind turbines in India.

The partnership includes the creation of net-zero industrial parks, green hydrogen projects, and green hydrogen industry standards. Envision’s Global VP and Country President for India, Kane Xu, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership’s potential influence on India’s lofty goals for net-zero and green energy. The founders of Greenko Group founded AM Green with the goal of becoming a global leader in affordable green hydrogen generation by utilising the experience in renewable energy and storage-as-a-service provided by its parent firm. The company is aggressively working to increase its capacity to produce a range of green compounds in order to help India’s hard-to-abate sectors decarbonise. In addition, AM Green plans to launch a global renewable energy and storage company and a joint venture for the production of electrolysers with the Belgian company John Cockerill.
