Celebrating The Eco ChangeMakers 2024 – Recycling For A Greener Tomorrow
BWSustainabilityWorld organized the 2nd Edition of the Recycling For A Greener Tomorrow Conclave & Awards in New Delhi. The awards ceremony honoured champions of the recycling and waste management industry in various categories, thoughtfully crafted to highlight the intersections between individuals, organizations, and environmental elements. The awards aimed to acknowledge those making impactful contributions to create positive change, motivating both individuals and organizations to embrace sustainability practices in their domain.
We received an overwhelming number of nominations from across the country from organizations. Through a preliminary shortlisting process, followed by a rigorous Jury pitching round, BW Sustainable World got its winners.
Jury and the Process
The nominations received for the Eco Change-Makers 2024 underwent a meticulous multi-tier screening and shortlisting procedure to identify the most deserving winners. The jury process adhered to a specific set of parameters for evaluating the entries including new initiatives taken in the last 5 years, implementation of ideas and their impact on the industry, key contributions and awards received, and challenges faced by the individual/organisation in the implementation of the project.
The jury comprised of Dr Suneel Pandey, Director- Environment & Waste Management, TERI; Gauri Sarin, President Approach Intl & Founder, Forum for Women Leadership for Better India (FWLI); Anshu Gupta, Founder, Goonj, India Social Entrepreneur; Dr Sameer Joshi, Vice-Chairman, Indian Plastics Institute, Acclaimed Polymer Technologist and Expert in Plastic Recycling; Sanchita Jindal, Former Adviser (Scientist G), Government of India, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change; Ashutosh Joshi, CEO, Glasspower Recycling & Glasspower Group; Sudhir Mishra, Founder & Managing Partner, Trust Legal, Noted Environmental Lawyer; and Dr Annurag Batra, Chairman & Editor-in-Chief BW Businessworld & Founder of Exchange4media.
