The collaboration will offer doorstep veterinary services, artificial insemination, and information through Emergency Response Centres (ERC) operated by Bharat Financial Inclusion Limited and IndusInd Bank

IndusInd Bank, along with its subsidiary Bharat Financial Inclusion  (BFIL), has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Tamil Nadu government for the Bharat Sanjeevani Corporate Social Responsibility Programme. The initiative, in collaboration with AAVIN, aims to extend veterinary services and information to livestock owners associated with the milk federation.

Under the MoU, doorstep veterinary services, artificial insemination, and information dissemination will be provided through Emergency Response Centres (ERC) operated by BFIL and IndusInd Bank. S. Vineeth, IAS, Managing Director of the Tamil Nadu Co-Operative Milk Producer’s Federation Limited, highlights the significance of this collaboration in improving veterinary access for Tamil Nadu dairy farmers. The programme aligns with their vision for sustainable livestock management.

J. Sridharan, Executive Vice Chairman of Bharat Financial Inclusion Limited, emphasizes the focus of Bharat Sanjeevani on quality service and income generation enhancement for excluded social groups. The initiative aims to conduct Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities with a rigorous focus on outreach and impact.

Sumant Kathpalia, Managing Director & CEO of IndusInd Bank, underscores the bank’s commitment to promoting livestock welfare in Tamil Nadu. Their objective is to uplift dairy farmers and foster socio-economic development in the region.

Launched in 2016, the Bharat Sanjeevani initiative has been providing veterinary services in remote rural areas across India. The project has positively impacted over 15 lakh farmers and treated more than 2 million livestock across multiple states. BFIL’s efforts in this project were recognized with a National CSR Award in 2019, showcasing their dedication to social welfare initiatives.
