Hartek Bags Largest Solar Plant Contract In J&K With 8 MW Rooftop Installation

The project for Kandhari Beverages will be Jammu & Kashmir’s largest rooftop solar system, generating a million units annually

Hartek Group’s C&I Rooftop Solar business has secured an 8 MW solar EPC contract from Kandhari Beverages, one of Hindustan Coca-Cola’s largest bottling plants. This project, currently under execution, will become Jammu & Kashmir’s largest rooftop solar installation, expected to be commissioned this quarter.

The solar system will generate one million units annually, significantly reducing the facility’s energy costs and contributing to the region’s renewable energy capabilities. This marks the third project Hartek has won from Kandhari Beverages in two years, bringing their total installations with the company to 14 MW.

“This remarkable 8 MW system is setting the standard for sustainable industrial development in Jammu & Kashmir, not merely powering a building. Our C&I roof top solar business unit will continue to partner with leading Industries to meet their sustainability & net zero goals,” stated Simarpreet Singh, Executive Director & CEO, Hartek Group.

Hartek Group’s comprehensive turnkey solution includes engineering, procurement, testing, commissioning, and one year of operations and maintenance. The company continues to lead in the solar sector, focusing on sustainable growth and clean energy solutions.
