Lauritz Knudsen Partners With UP Jal Nigam To Provide Smart Water Solutions For Maha Kumbh 2025

Lauritz Knudsen Electrical and Automation (formerly L&T Switchgear), a leader in India’s electrical and automation sector, has disclosed a strategic partnership with the Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam (U) to offer innovative smart water solutions for the Maha Kumbh 2025 in Prayagraj.
To ensure seamless water distribution to millions of pilgrims during the event, Lauritz Knudsen has deployed state-of-the-art smart controllers that allow for a reliable, remotely operated water supply system. This advanced technology eliminates the need for manual intervention in high-density areas, providing consistent water delivery for drinking and personal use. Additionally, the company has implemented power quality improvement solutions, optimizing efficiency in the water extraction process and enhancing the overall reliability of the system.
In parallel, Lauritz Knudsen has bolstered water infrastructure in the state, successfully showcasing the capabilities of its switchgear solutions to the Uttar Pradesh Irrigation Department. The company’s solutions have led to a significant 60 per cent reduction in motor burnouts, improving operational efficiency across the state’s irrigation systems.
