Bisleri Partners With ASI To Revive Historic Water Bodies Under ‘Adopt A Heritage 2.0’ Programme

The strategic collaboration aims to rejuvenate four historic water bodies, blending heritage conservation with sustainable water management practices

Bisleri International  has declared a partnership with the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) under the government’s ‘Adopt a Heritage 2.0 Programme.’ The formal signing of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) took place between Zulfeqar Ali, Director of ASI, Ministry of Culture, and Angelo George, CEO of Bisleri International. The MoU was exchanged later by Yadubir Singh Rawat, Director General of ASI, and George.

The initiative, a part of Bisleri’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) program ‘Nayi Umeed’, will focus on the conservation and rejuvenation of four historically significant water bodies. These include Chand Baori in Abhaneri, Baori at Neemrana, Padma and Rani Talabs at Ranthambore Fort, and Budha Budhi Pond at Kalinjar Fort. The project will involve extensive restoration work such as desilting, cleaning, ecological revival, and landscaping, ensuring minimal disruption while maintaining the sites’ historical integrity. Informational signages will also be installed to promote tourism and engage local communities.

In a statement, Angelo George, CEO of Bisleri International, expressed, “This collaboration is a testament to our commitment to environmental sustainability and heritage conservation. By rejuvenating these historic water bodies, Bisleri aims to contribute to the preservation of India’s rich cultural heritage and ensure sustainable water resources for future generations.”

The partnership also marks a significant step in combining sustainable water management with heritage conservation, an initiative that aligns with Bisleri’s broader goals of social responsibility and environmental stewardship.

Through this collaboration, Bisleri aims to create a lasting impact on India’s heritage sites, ensuring their preservation for centuries while contributing to the ecological and cultural revitalization of these historically vital water bodies.
