Boson Whitewater Hosts Bengaluru Symposium To Tackle Water Crisis

Event unites apartment associations, tanker operators, and industries to promote sustainable water reuse and honors city’s water warriors for their conservation efforts
In response to Bengaluru’s growing water crisis, Boson Whitewater, a pioneering water utility company specializing in converting STP (Sewage Treatment Plant) water into potable-grade water, hosted a symposium on ‘Sustainable Water Management Practices’ on 16 April at Sai Vishram, Electronic City. The event brought together a diverse mix of stakeholders — from apartment associations and water tanker vendors to industrial users — to foster dialogue and collaboration around circular water management.
The event served as a platform for key players across the water recycling ecosystem to exchange ideas, share challenges, and explore scalable solutions for sustainable water use in the city.
Speaking on the occasion, Vikas Brahmavar, CEO and Co-founder of Boson Whitewater, remarked, “The idea behind this event was to bring together key stakeholders of the water recycling and reuse ecosystem. Each member of the value chain — the source, the enabler, and the end consumer — plays an important role in addressing water scarcity in Bengaluru. It was great to see so many like-minded people come together to discuss challenges, solutions, and opportunities to build sustainable water infrastructure for our city.”
A key highlight of the symposium was the recognition of Bengaluru’s “water warriors” — residential communities and industries actively engaged in recycling and reusing treated water. Select apartment complexes that have adopted water recycling practices and industries demonstrating responsible water management were honored for their efforts.
The event is part of a broader outreach initiative by Boson Whitewater, which aims to host similar symposiums across the city. These localized engagements are intended to bring together neighborhood-specific stakeholders and encourage wider adoption of water reuse practices.
As Bengaluru grapples with the dual challenges of rapid urbanization and depleting water resources, Boson Whitewater’s initiative is a timely reminder of the role that community collaboration and innovative reuse models can play in securing the city’s water future.
