WattPower, Avaada Join Hands For 715 MW Renewable Push In Maharashtra

A key aspect of the collaboration is the use of WattPower’s Dynamic Reactive Power Compensation technology
WattPower has partnered with Avaada, an independent power producer (IPP), to deliver 715 megawatt (MW) of renewable energy in Maharashtra, strengthening the state’s clean energy ecosystem.
The move builds on WattPower’s existing footprint in the state, where it has already executed 452 MWp under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana (MSKVY). The new projects will also deploy 275 kilowatt (kW) string inverters across multiple sites.
A key aspect of the collaboration is the use of WattPower’s Dynamic Reactive Power Compensation technology. The company said the system has enhanced grid stability and efficiency at Avaada’s MSKVY sites, helping improve overall energy output.
“This contract marks a pivotal milestone for WattPower and a significant step in India’s clean energy journey. By combining our advanced technologies with Avaada’s leadership, we aim to set new benchmarks in efficiency and sustainability,” said WattPower Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer Divya Prakash Choraria.
The companies described the tie-up as a continuation of their earlier collaborations and a reflection of their shared vision to accelerate India’s renewable energy transition.
With this latest contract, WattPower underlined its position as a growing contributor to Maharashtra’s and India’s broader sustainable energy goals.
