Sael Commissions 300 MW Solar Project In Rajasthan

The company Signed 25-year PPA with RUVITL at Rs 2.61/kWh
Sael Industries has commissioned its first solar power project in Rajasthan with a capacity of around 300 megawatt (MW), the company said.
The project, located in Jalore district, spans over 1,000 acres and has been developed through its subsidiary Sunfree Energy RJP1. It has a capacity of 200 MW (alternate current) and 298 MW (direct current).
The company signed a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Rajasthan Urja Vikas and IT Services (RUVITL) on 20 February 2024 at an electricity tariff of Rs 2.61 per kilowatt hour. The project was commissioned on 17 August, ahead of its scheduled commercial operation date, enabling early transmission and additional supply of power within the state.
Sael Industries is present in agri waste-to-energy, utility connected solar and solar module manufacturing. Its portfolio comprises over 7.7 gigawatt (GW) of solar independent power producer assets across India.
