Adani Wind Secures 165 MW Order From Fourth Partner Energy

Adani Wind will supply 50 wind turbine generators (WTGs) from its 3.3 MW platform

Adani Wind has bagged a 165 megawatt (MW) wind turbine order from Fourth Partner Energy (FPEL), marking a significant step in advancing clean energy projects across Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Gujarat. Adani Wind will supply 50 wind turbine generators (WTGs) from its 3.3 MW platform. The package includes the ex-works supply of nacelles, hubs, drivetrains, blade sets, and towers, along with supervision for foundation works, commissioning, and long-term operations and maintenance.

The order forms part of FPEL’s strategy to achieve 9 gigawatt (GW) of renewable energy assets by FY31, with a focus on hybrid solar and wind solutions for commercial and industrial clients. FPEL currently has an operational capacity of 1.6 GW and is aiming for 3.6 GW by FY27. The company recently secured USD 275 million from the International Finance Corporation (IFC), Asian Development Bank (ADB), and DEG to accelerate this growth.

Adani Wind’s fully integrated manufacturing facility at Mundra, Gujarat, supports an annual production capacity of 2.25 GW of wind turbine generators, strengthening its ability to serve India’s growing renewable energy demand. The company has also recently won additional external orders of 69.3 MW each from First Energy and Opera Energy.
