ACME Solar Secures Rs 1100 Cr Refinancing From SBI

Refinancing move expected to cut costs and bolster ACME Solar’s credit profile for its Rajasthan project.

ACME Solar Holdings Limited has secured refinancing worth Rs 1,100 crore from the State Bank of India (SBI) for its 300 MW operational solar power project in Rajasthan. The funding, sanctioned for a tenure of approximately 17 years, is expected to reduce the project’s financing cost by nearly 100 basis points.

The refinancing is part of ACME Solar’s broader strategy to optimize capital costs and strengthen its credit profile across its renewable energy portfolio. The project, operational for about six months, has consistently delivered at optimal Capacity Utilization Factor (CUF) levels, contributing to its financial viability.

The project is housed under a subsidiary that holds a Crisil AA- rating, reflecting the company’s focus on maintaining financial discipline and long-term stability. ACME Solar noted that improving project credit ratings remains central to its capital strategy, especially as it looks to scale up its renewable capacity in the coming years.

This transaction aligns with ACME Solar’s ongoing efforts to secure long-tenure, cost-efficient funding and improve balance sheet strength amid the company’s aggressive expansion plans in India’s clean energy sector.

ACME Solar, one of India’s leading renewable energy developers, continues to focus on optimizing its financial structure while contributing to the country’s green energy transition.
