Action TESA Championing A Nature-Friendly Revolution To Enhance Wood Reserves
With a comprehensive plan in place, Action TESA is inspiring farmers to cultivate eucalyptus, promoting sustainability and resource renewal
In a move aimed at promoting environmental responsibility, Action TESA claimed that it has emphasised its commitment to sustainable manufacturing practices, advanced energy-efficient technologies, and the use of eco-friendly raw materials. The company’s efforts are part of a broader industry trend to reduce the environmental impact of wood-based products.
Action TESA’s HDHMR Board is emerging as a popular alternative to traditional plywood, offering enhanced performance and affordability. According to the company, these engineered wood products are produced in a way that avoids depleting natural resources, thereby helping to reduce the overall carbon footprint.
The company has also introduced a range of innovative engineered wood products, such as the Boilo range, which boasts a high density of over 1000 kg/m³, providing durability and resilience for various applications. By converting low-density wood into premium-grade boards, Action TESA says it is optimizing resource utilization while ensuring that the products meet rigorous industry standards.
Central to the company’s sustainability efforts is the use of eucalyptus, a rapidly growing renewable crop that Action TESA has incorporated into its engineered wood products. Eucalyptus trees grow between 6 to 12 feet annually, providing a sustainable source of wood that reduces the demand for traditional hardwoods and lessens the impact on natural forests. This is in line with Action TESA’s goal of promoting the use of renewable resources in its product lines.
Further supporting its sustainability initiatives, Action TESA distributed 55 lakh eucalyptus saplings in 2024 as part of its reforestation efforts. The company aims to distribute 2 crore saplings by 2025 to help restore ecological balance and reduce carbon emissions.
Ajay Aggarwal, Managing Director of Action TESA, emphasized the company’s belief that sustainability is a responsibility, not just a choice. “By adopting eco-friendly raw materials, reducing our carbon footprint, and investing in reforestation efforts, we aim to set new standards in the panel industry while contributing to a healthier planet,” he stated.
Action TESA’s product lineup includes MDF, HDHMR, and Particle Boards, known for their durability, functionality, and eco-friendly qualities. Designed to withstand the demands of high-traffic areas such as hospitals and malls, as well as residential interiors, the products are available in pre-laminated options. They feature water and termite resistance, as well as Antiviro Technology, which eliminates 99.99% of harmful microbes, ensuring safe and hygienic interiors.
By promoting sustainability across its operations, Action TESA is positioning itself as a leader in the push for eco-friendly innovation within the wood panel industry.
