 Amazon has opened the Swachhata Store in partnership with the Ministry of Jal Shakti. It offers a wide selection of discounts on more than 20,000 cleaning supplies, including vacuums, sanitary ware, water purifiers, mops, and brooms. The products are acquired from Indian manufacturers, SMEs, and sellers with the goal of giving clients easy access to necessities and useful information about the advantages of keeping an environment clean.

The Minister of Jal Shakti, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, praised Amazon for the initiative and emphasised the value of teamwork in creating a country that is healthier, cleaner, and more wealthy. The Swachhata Store is one way that the government is implementing its “Clean India” initiative, and Amazon India Vice President and Country Manager of Consumer Business Manish Tiwary expressed his gratitude for this cooperation. The four S’s of Amazon’s cleanliness commitment—”seamless smart cleaning,” “sanitation for everyone,” “strongly committed to cleanliness,” and “safeguard the environment”—are all present in the online store, according to Tiwary.

Tiwary congratulated the Hon’ble Minister during the inauguration event and underlined that the Swachhata Store uses technology to exhibit cutting-edge cleaning technologies like robotic hoover cleaners, air purifiers and water purifiers, in addition to supporting the government’s objective. This is in line with the government’s objective of using technology to make India cleaner and healthier.
