Apraava Energy Secures 300 MW Wind Energy Project In Karnataka

The 300 MW wind energy project in Aski, Karnataka, has been awarded to Apraava Energy, an integrated energy solutions provider. The project is a significant part of the 1,200 MW auction capacity under the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI)-facilitated Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS)-connected wind power projects (Tranche-XIV). The building of the project, according to the business, will follow the timetables provided in the 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) at a competitive rate of Rs 3.24/kWh.
As to the agreement, Apraava Energy is in charge of developing wind farms, acquiring land and setting up grid infrastructure up to the ISTS grid substation’s metering point. The company expressed excitement about the growth potential in the state. Currently, its renewable energy (RE) portfolio consists of 1,176 MW of solar and wind projects spread throughout states including Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and now Karnataka.
According to Apraava Energy’s Managing Director, Rajiv Ranjan Mishra, the project in Karnataka is the company’s third wind venture in the area, which offers promising opportunities for the growth of renewable energy. In building and managing the project, he stated that the company would uphold the highest operating standards, drawing on their vast experience as the nation’s first adopters of wind power generating and working with reputable O&M partners.
