Arete Group Declares Phase 2 Of Payal Industrial Park In Dahej

Rs 1,200 crore Investment to Boost Infrastructure and Sustainability in Gujarat’s PCPIR Region
Arete Group has started phase 2 of its flagship Payal Industrial Park (PIP) in Dahej, located within Gujarat’s petroleum, chemicals and petrochemicals investment region (PCPIR). Spread across 850 acre, the new phase reflects a significant expansion of the industrial hub and reinforces the group’s commitment to environmentally responsible infrastructure development.
With a planned investment of approximately Rs 1,200 crore, the expansion aims to attract industries in specialty chemicals, advanced materials, green energy, and related manufacturing sectors. Phase 1 of PIP had already attracted over ₹12,000 crore in investments, and the group expects Phase 2 to surpass that benchmark.
A key feature of the launch was the inauguration of a Central Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP) with an initial capacity of 2.5 million litre per day, expandable to 50 MLD. Designed to ease the environmental compliance burden for tenant industries, the CETP includes lenient inlet norms and direct connectivity for deep-sea discharge.
The announcement coincided with the PIP Sustainability Conclave 2025, where industry leaders, policymakers, and sustainability experts discussed pathways to cleaner, greener industrial growth. The park’s development is guided by ESG principles and includes partnerships to integrate renewable energy, green hydrogen production, and biomass-based steam generation.
Other highlights of Phase 2 include 80 acres allocated for residential housing for workers, a 35,000 sq. ft. executive clubhouse, a 22-bed healthcare centre, and extensive green spaces under the 25,000 trees project, aimed at carbon sequestration and urban biodiversity enhancement.
The park continues to attract domestic and global players such as Altana AG, Perfect Day Inc., Silox Group, Hindalco Industries, Gharda Chemicals, and Yasho Industries. With dedicated infrastructure like utility corridors, green hydrogen-ready systems, and a 55 MW solar captive plant, PIP aligns with national initiatives like Make in India and PM Gati Shakti.
Arete Group credited the supportive policy environment and infrastructure provided by the Government of Gujarat for the success of the project, which is positioned as a model for sustainable industrial development in India.
