Bondada Engineering Wins Rs 391 Cr NTPC Solar Order
The contract covers EPC and maintenance work for a 300 MW solar project in Uttar Pradesh and marks Bondada’s first order from NTPC Green Energy
Bondada Engineering has secured a Rs 391.38 crore engineering, procurement and construction contract from NTPC Green Energy for balance-of-system works on a 300 megawatt solar photovoltaic project in Lalitpur, Uttar Pradesh.
The order also includes three years of operations and maintenance services and marks Bondada Engineering’s first contract from NTPC’s renewable energy arm. The project is expected to be executed within 15 months from the receipt of the work order.
Scope Of Work
The contract covers design, engineering, site development, manufacturing, supply, insurance, transport, storage, erection, installation, testing and commissioning of the solar power project. The operations and maintenance component will run for three years after commissioning.
Bondada Engineering said the order strengthens its presence in utility-scale solar infrastructure and expands its engagement with public sector clients. The company’s total engineering, procurement and construction order book now stands at about 3.3 gigawatt.
NTPC Green Energy is the renewable energy subsidiary of NTPC, India’s largest power generation company, and is focused on expanding the group’s solar and clean energy portfolio.
The project adds to ongoing efforts to scale up grid-connected solar capacity as part of India’s broader renewable energy push.
