DuPont Water Showcases Smart Technologies For Water Reuse

New membrane systems aim to cut energy use and boost water recovery across industries and cities

DuPont Water Solutions displayed a range of advanced technologies for efficient water reuse at IFAT India 2025, held from 14 to 16 October at the Bombay Exhibition Centre. The solutions are designed to help industries and urban utilities increase water recovery, reduce energy consumption and lower operational costs.

The new systems, developed for challenging water conditions, support India’s targets for sustainable and circular water management. Among the highlights were advanced membrane technologies capable of treating high-salinity water, cutting chemical use and reducing cleaning frequency. According to the company, these systems can concentrate saline water up to 25 per cent, reduce operating costs by up to 34 per cent and extend equipment life.

During the exhibition, DuPont representatives met policymakers, industry leaders and municipal officials to discuss how advanced water technologies can strengthen India’s water resilience and resource efficiency.

Tanmeet Singh Gulati, Regional Commercial Director -Asia Pacific, DuPont Water Solutions, said the company’s innovation focus is on reducing water footprint, optimising recovery and enabling ESG and Net Zero targets.

Chrys Fernandes, Business Head -India Sub-region, said DuPont aims to support industries and municipalities as they “move beyond compliance towards performance-driven water reuse and sustainability.”

DuPont’s technologies are already in use across Indian industries and utilities, delivering up to 90 per cent water recovery, up to 50 per cent energy savings and extended membrane life through digital optimisation and improved system design.
