Gail Declares AI Tarang To Enhance Employee Tech Skills

This Initiative aims to boost AI literacy and prepare workforce for digital transformation
Gail (India) has rolled out AI Tarang, a programme designed to enhance artificial intelligence (AI) literacy and capacity building among its employees, marking a step towards building a future-ready workforce.
The initiative was inaugurated at the Gail Training Institute (GTI), Noida by Chairman and Managing Director Sandeep Kumar Gupta, in the presence of Director (Projects) Deepak Gupta and Director (HR) Ayush Gupta, along with senior officials and new joinees.
Gupta underlined the need for embracing technology to stay competitive. “We can’t just wish it away, so better embrace the change,” he said, highlighting AI’s role in improving efficiency, decision-making and innovation.
Director (HR) Ayush Gupta urged employees to use the platform to maximise their potential. “Harness the power of technology to realise your full potential and make the most of this forward-looking initiative,” he said.
Following the inauguration, a session was held to introduce participants to the potential applications of AI and the structure of the programme.
By announcing AI Tarang, Gail is investing in digital capacity building to ensure employees are equipped with new-age skills, strengthening the company’s preparedness for technological disruption in the energy sector.
