Godrej Powers Middle East Clean Energy Push With Blue Ammonia Solutions

Supplies high-pressure exchangers to one of the world’s largest blue ammonia plants

Godrej & Boyce’s Process Equipment business, part of the Godrej Enterprises Group, has delivered a critical batch of high-pressure exchangers to a major blue ammonia production facility in the Middle East, in a move that underlines its growing presence in global clean energy infrastructure.

The delivery includes four high-pressure exchangers and a high-pressure separator, constructed using low alloy steel metallurgy. Two of the exchangers, each nearly 26 metres long, are engineered to withstand extreme temperatures and pressures – key to optimising energy recovery in blue ammonia production. With a combined weight of around 250 metric tonnes, the equipment was custom-built to meet stringent performance requirements of large-scale clean fuel production.

“This project represents yet another milestone for the Process Equipment business and demonstrates our commitment to supporting the global transition to cleaner energy sources,” said Hussain Shariyarr, Executive Vice President & Business Head, Process Equipment, Godrej Enterprises. “Our advanced engineering capabilities and manufacturing excellence have positioned us as a trusted partner for critical equipment in complex energy projects worldwide.”

The project marks a strategic step in Godrej’s clean energy roadmap. With global demand for hydrogen and low-carbon ammonia surging, the company has been aligning its advanced manufacturing capabilities to serve this growing segment.

Godrej has previously contributed heat exchangers to one of the largest commercial-scale green hydrogen plants in the Middle East. It is also executing orders for blue hydrogen projects across the Americas, further cementing its role in clean fuel value chains.

As countries accelerate decarbonisation through low-emission fuels like blue and green ammonia, Godrej’s specialised equipment is enabling energy efficiency at scale, reinforcing India’s engineering prowess on the world stage.
