Hartek Secures Rs 117 Cr Order From Power Grid Corporation For Gujarat Project
The project involves the extension of critical 765kV and 400/220kV substations to enhance India’s power transmission infrastructure
Hartek Group’s Power System business unit has secured a Rs 117 crore project from Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL), India’s largest power distribution company. The project, located in Gujarat, involves the extension of a 765-kilo volt (KV) air-insulated substation (AIS) and the development of 400/220kV substation infrastructure.
The company said that this development shows Hartek’s dedication to strengthening India’s power grid infrastructure. The extension work will not only enhance transmission efficiency but also support the integration of renewable energy sources, contributing to India’s growing energy needs.
Simarpreet Singh, Group Executive Director & CEO of Hartek Group, commented, “Securing this critical project from PGCIL marks a major achievement for us and highlights our leadership in the extra high voltage (EHV) segment. This project is vital to India’s energy infrastructure, enabling reliable power delivery and promoting renewable energy integration. It further solidifies our market position and commitment to excellence in the power sector.”
The 765kV substations will play a key role in enhancing India’s power transmission capacity, in line with the Central Electricity Authority’s (CEA) grid expansion projections, as per the press release. With this project, Hartek continues to lead in the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) sector, establishing itself as a key player in delivering large-scale, complex power transmission projects across India.
