Insolation Energy Secures Rs 750 Cr Solar Project From Rajasthan Discoms

226 MW capacity to be developed under PM-Kusum scheme across JVVNL and AVVNL networks
Insolation Energy has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Insolation Green Energy, has received a Letter of Intent (LoI) from Jaipur Vidyut Vitran Nigam (JVVNL) and Ajmer Vidyut Vitran Nigam (AVVNL) for the development of a 226.45 MW solar power project.
Valued at around Rs 750 crore, the project will be implemented under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-Kusum) Component A scheme. Spread across 20 sites under JVVNL and 115 sites under AVVNL, the plants are intended to strengthen decentralised renewable generation while reducing the state’s dependence on conventional power.
The scope of work covers the design, survey, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the plants, followed by comprehensive operation and maintenance (O&M) for 25 years from the commercial operation date. It also includes the establishment of 11 KV lines linking the plants to 33/11 KV substations and a remote monitoring system for real-time performance tracking.
Levelised tariffs have been fixed at Rs 3.04 per unit for 16 sites, Rs 2.82 per unit for five sites, Rs 2.75 per unit for 53 sites, and Rs 2.60 per unit for 61 sites.
The company said the long-term O&M structure ensures operational sustainability over the project’s 25-year lifecycle, aligning with both Rajasthan’s renewable energy ambitions and India’s broader clean energy transition.
