Jaiprakash Power Ventures (JPVL) will invest Rs 300 crore to develop a 50 megawatt (MW) solar power project in Madhya Pradesh, in its clean energy expansion.

The project, approved in principle at the company’s board meeting, will be established at the site of its existing 500 MW Jaypee Bina Thermal Power Plant in Bina, subject to regulatory and lender clearances. The move underscores JPVL’s strategy to diversify its energy portfolio and align with India’s renewable energy targets, while leveraging existing infrastructure for faster project execution.
