KEC International Bags Rs 1,050 Cr Orders, Steps Into Wind Power

RPG Group firm secures maiden wind energy contract as order book swells across transmission, civil and cables businesses

KEC International has won fresh orders worth Rs 1,050 crore across its core infrastructure verticals, marking its formal entry into the wind energy segment. The Mumbai-based engineering, procurement and construction company, part of the RPG Group, said the new contracts span transmission and distribution, civil construction, cables and conductors, and renewables.

The company’s renewables arm has secured its first wind energy assignment, a 100-plus MW balance-of-plant package for a wind power project in southern India, awarded by a private developer. The order signals KEC’s expansion beyond its established transmission and solar portfolio.

In transmission and distribution, the firm has received orders for towers, hardware and poles in the Americas. Its cables and conductors’ business has bagged supplies in India and overseas, while the civil vertical has won a buildings and factories project in western India for a steel major.

Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Vimal Kejriwal said the diversified order wins strengthened the company’s growth outlook. With the latest additions, KEC’s year-to-date order intake stands at about Rs 19,300 crore, improving revenue visibility across infrastructure segments.
