Loom Solar, Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya Collaborate To Build Green Skills For Viksit Bharat

Partnership to advance sustainability education and prepare India’s clean energy workforce

Loom Solar, a solar manufacturing company, has entered into a strategic collaboration with Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV), a Central University under the Ministry of Railways, to strengthen India’s renewable energy talent ecosystem through sustainability-focused academic and training programmes.

The partnership, formalised through a Letter of Intent, aims to align higher education with the emerging needs of India’s green economy. By combining Loom Solar’s clean energy expertise with GSV’s academic and research strengths, the two institutions plan to create practical, industry-relevant courses that prepare students for the transition to sustainable energy and infrastructure systems.

Under the agreement, Loom Solar and GSV will jointly develop curricula, case studies, and training modules focused on solar energy, storage technologies, and sustainable infrastructure. Students will gain exposure to real-world renewable energy projects through internships, workshops, and live training sessions.

Manoj Choudhary, Vice Chancellor, Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya, said, “Sustainability must be embedded in the education system if we are to meet the goals of a cleaner and more resilient economy. This collaboration with Loom Solar will help us nurture professionals capable of driving India’s green transition.”

Amod Anand, Director and Co-founder, Loom Solar, said, “A sustainable future depends on skilled people who understand both the technology and the purpose behind clean energy. Through this partnership with GSV, we aim to contribute to India’s mission of Viksit Bharat 2047 by developing a workforce ready to deliver on the country’s renewable energy goals.”

Since its inception, Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya has focused on bridging academia and industry through applied learning models. Its sustainability-oriented programmes are designed in consultation with industry partners to ensure graduates are equipped to contribute effectively to India’s low-carbon growth.

The collaboration reinforces a shared commitment to sustainability-led industrial development and the creation of a future-ready, climate-conscious workforce. By integrating renewable energy education with practical training, the initiative supports India’s broader goal of achieving inclusive and sustainable growth.
