ONGC Green, IIM Nagpur Partner To Advance Research In Clean Energy & Sustainability
The collaboration will focus on renewable integration, energy storage, e-mobility and policy research aligned with India’s net-zero target for 2070
The Indian Institute of Management Nagpur has signed a memorandum of understanding with ONGC Green to collaborate on research and initiatives related to green and future energy, with a focus on sustainability and energy transition.
The partnership aims to address key areas including environmental sustainability, ESG frameworks, renewable energy integration, energy storage and e-mobility. It will also cover leadership development and policy-oriented research to support the evolving needs of India’s energy sector.
Under the agreement, IIM Nagpur will contribute academic and policy expertise, while ONGC Green will bring operational experience from the renewable energy domain. The collaboration is intended to bridge research and industry practice, supporting evidence-based policy formulation and capacity building.
ONGC Green has outlined plans to scale up its green energy portfolio to 10 GW by 2030 as part of its contribution to India’s net-zero emissions target by 2070. Its expansion strategy includes solar, wind, biofuels and emerging technologies such as green hydrogen.
