ProcMart Strengthens Sustainable Supply Chain With Aurangabad Packaging Facility Acquisition

Strategic move marks company’s entry into manufacturing; aims to scale production and unlock $150M in additional annual revenue

ProcMart, a B2B marketplace for indirect procurement solutions, has announced the acquired a corrugated box manufacturing facility in Aurangabad, Maharashtra, marking its first foray into manufacturing. This strategic move is set to significantly boost the company’s sustainable packaging capabilities and aligns with its larger vision of vertical integration.

The newly acquired facility—now operating under the ProcMart Packaging banner—was originally established in 2015 and currently produces 1,000 metric tonne of packaging material monthly, generating Rs 25 crore in annual revenue. With more than 50 skilled workers and a mix of fully and semi-automatic machinery, the plant caters to clients across the pharmaceutical, FMCG, automotive, and consumer durables industries.

ProcMart plans to ramp up the facility’s production capacity to 2,500 metric tonne per month through fresh investments, unlocking a potential USD 150 million in annual revenue. This expansion is projected to drive 100 per cent year-on-year growth for the first two years, with 50–60 per cent growth expected thereafter.

CEO and Founder Anish Popli called the acquisition a ‘transformative leap’ that allows ProcMart to directly control quality and timelines while strengthening its role as a full-spectrum procurement partner. The plant also supports ProcMart’s sustainability goals, featuring biofuel-powered boilers that align with the carbon neutrality objectives of its Fortune 500 clientele.

“This facility establishes our blueprint for vertical integration across other product categories,” Popli said.

The facility’s strategic location in the Aurangabad–Pune–Mumbai corridor is expected to reduce delivery timelines and logistics costs, further enhancing customer service for clients in Maharashtra. It also supports the company’s broader plans to deepen its presence in key sectors such as MRO, biofuels, utilities, and non-specialty chemicals.

With this acquisition, ProcMart is not only scaling operations but also reinforcing its commitment to eco-friendly procurement, positioning itself strongly within India’s trillion-dollar B2B market.
