RECPDCL Transfers Rajasthan Power Transmission Project to Apraava Energy

REC Power Development and Consultancy (RECPDCL), a subsidiary of REC under the Ministry of Power, has officially transferred the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) for the Rajasthan IV-A Power Transmission project to Apraava Energy (AEPL). This project is a key initiative to facilitate the evacuation of power from the Rajasthan Renewable Energy Zone Phase IV, located in the Jaisalmer-Barmer complex.

Apraava Energy was selected as the Transmission Service Provider (TSP) through a Tariff-based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) process managed by RECPDCL, which served as the Bid Process Coordinator. The project will be developed on a Build, Own, Operate, and Transfer (BOOT) basis.

The project involves the construction of a 765/400 kV, 4×1500 MVA and 400/220 kV, 5×500 MVA Pooling Station at Fatehgarh-IV, along with 184.56 kilometres of 400 kV transmission lines and associated infrastructure. The SPV handover took place in the presence of senior officials from RECPDCL, AEPL, and the Central Transmission Utility of India, with Shri T.S.C. Bosh, CEO of RECPDCL, transferring the SPV to Mr. Naveen Munjal, Director of Business Development at AEPL.

The project is slated for completion within two years, marking a significant step in enhancing power transmission infrastructure to support renewable energy initiatives in Rajasthan.
