RSWM Partners With Adani Energy Solutions To Source 60 MW Of Green Power
Renewable energy share in textile manufacturer’s total power mix to rise from 33 to 70 per cent under new group captive arrangement
RSWM, one of India’s leading textile manufacturers and the flagship company of the LNJ Bhilwara Group, has entered into an agreement with Adani Energy Solutions Ltd (AESL) for the supply of 60 megawatts (MW) of renewable energy to its production units in Rajasthan.
Under the Group Captive Scheme, RSWM has invested Rs 60 crore with a renewable generation company to secure 31.53 crore units of green power annually. The move is expected to raise the share of renewable energy in the company’s overall power mix from the current 33 per cent to 70 per cent, significantly reducing its carbon footprint.
AESL will manage the entire green power value chain for RSWM’s additional energy requirements, overseeing generation, supply, and integration into existing operations. The collaboration supports RSWM’s long-term strategy to align industrial growth with sustainability goals and enhance operational efficiency through energy diversification.
The initiative highlights the growing role of hybrid and renewable energy in India’s manufacturing sector, where clean power adoption is becoming central to competitiveness and compliance. By sourcing over two-thirds of its energy from renewables—well above the national average of 31 per cent—RSWM aims to set a benchmark in sustainable industrial practice.
AESL’s commercial and industrial vertical serves large electricity consumers through customised, low-carbon energy solutions. The company currently operates India’s largest private transmission network, spanning 16 states with 26,705 circuit kilometre of lines and 97,236 MVA of transformation capacity. It is targeting a commercial and industrial portfolio of 7,000 MW within the next five years.
The partnership between RSWM and AESL reflects the accelerating integration of renewable power into core industrial operations, signalling a broader shift towards responsible energy transition across India’s manufacturing landscape.
