Company strengthens commitment to sustainability with state-of-the-art solar power plant in Maharashtra

Supriya Lifescience, a leading cGMP-compliant API manufacturer, has unveiled a new 5 MWp solar power facility in Nanded District, Maharashtra. The inauguration, led by Satish Wagh, Chairman of Supriya Lifescience, underscores the company’s dedication to renewable energy and reducing its environmental footprint.

This solar initiative is part of Supriya Lifescience’s broader efforts to minimize carbon emissions across its operations. With the addition of the Nanded facility, the company now boasts a total solar capacity of 9.85 MWp, supplementing its previous 4.85 MWp installed in Solapur District. The move is expected to decrease reliance on fossil fuels and contribute to India’s national goal of combating climate change.

Satish Wagh emphasised, “Embracing renewable energy is not just a strategic business decision but also a commitment to a greener future. Our solar power investments reflect our vision of sustainable growth and reducing our environmental impact.”

The 5 MWp solar facility was executed in collaboration with Enrich Energy, a leading renewable energy solutions provider. This partnership represents a step forward in integrating green energy into pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, setting an example for the industry.

With this latest initiative, Supriya Lifescience continues to lead the pharmaceutical sector in sustainability, contributing to India’s ambitious renewable energy goals and fostering a cleaner, more sustainable future.
