The Future Of Skills And Technology Is Already Here: Jayant Chaudhary

Skills, innovation and climate action are key to a sustainable, inclusive India 2047, says Jayant Chaudhary

India’s roadmap for India 2047 will be driven by skill development, innovation, women’s empowerment, and climate action, said Jayant Chaudhary, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Minister of State for Education.

Speaking to over 50 global leaders, Chaudhary said the country must prepare its workforce to harness emerging technologies and adapt to industrial changes. He called on both government and industry to collaborate on skills creation and practical solutions.

“The future of skills, technology and industry is already here,” he said. “Indian industry must take ownership of skills development, from curriculum to protocols, so we can bridge the skill gap and empower the workforce.

Chaudhary described India’s journey toward 2047 as a model for combining economic growth with sustainability and social inclusion. He rightly mentioned the need for an integrated approach, where education, enterprise, and innovation converge to build a Viksit Bharat.

He was speaking at the Women Inspiring Network (Win) Win Lounge during Climate Week New York 2025, held alongside the 80th United Nations General Assembly. The event brought together leaders from more than 20 countries to discuss global sustainability, innovation, and climate action initiatives.
