To enhance the commitment to become a leading financier for net-zero projects, Power Finance Corporation(PFC) has partnered with Council on Energy, Environment and Water. The purpose of this collaboration is to diversify PFC’s green portfolio and placing it as a key facilitator in India’s clean energy transition.
The aim and focal point of this collaboration is Revamped Distribution sector Scheme (RDSS), aiming to address monitoring and implementation challenges in smart meter Projects. These objectives include evaluating finance requirements for net-zero across the power sector, exploring new lending trends and assessing financing needs for innovative clean energy technologies. Beside this this partnership will debunk funding sources for capital expenditures, identify global capital pools for low-cost finance and develop strategies for climate finance products.
Two organisations will come forward in thought leadership and policy support, planning to publish research reports, policy papers and host seminars and conferences on India’s net-zero goal and clean energy technologies, the initiative is set to propel PFC into a pivotal role in supporting India’s transition to sutainable energy.
