TruAlt Bioenergy To Further Capacity Expansion With Rs 600-cr Investment
GAIL will hold 49 per cent of the joint venture called Leafinti Bioenergy and TruAlt will have the remaining 51 per cent
TruAlt Bioenergy is gearing up for significant expansion, with plans to increase its capacity by 2.7 lakh litres per day in the upcoming financial year. This expansion entails an investment of approximately Rs 600 crore towards the establishment of 10 new plants, bringing the company’s total to 15. The selected locations for these plants are Bijapur in Karnataka and Pune in Maharashtra, where land has already been identified, with commissioning expected in the next financial year. Notably, TruAlt’s existing plants are also situated in Bijapur and Pune.
The Bengaluru-based company anticipates a robust 30 per cent revenue growth in the current fiscal year. TruAlt Bioenergy specialises in producing various biofuels including 1G ethanol, 2G ethanol, compressed biogas, sustainable aviation fuel, fermented organic manureand green hydrogen. Currently, it operates five 1G ethanol units with a combined capacity of two million liters per day and a compressed biogas capacity of 10 tonnes per day.
In a recent development, TruAlt entered into a USD 72-million compressed biogas joint venture with GAIL India. This partnership aims to establish 10 plants focused on producing over 33 million kilograms of compressed biogas utilising organic waste as the primary raw material.
