Tulsi Tea In Chalala: Transformation Schools, Transforming Lives
Upgraded wash facilities, ensured access to drinking water, and a dining hall have not only minimized absenteeism but also fostered an enriched learning atmosphere
Tulsi Tea, a cherished tea brand in Gujarat, has initiated a positive transformation in the lives of 288 students at Chalala Kanya Primary School in Amreli through its school improvement initiative. This Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project, conducted in collaboration with Yuva Unstoppable, focuses on enhancing health and hygiene standards for female students.
Under this program, Tulsi Tea has contributed to the development of improved wash facilities and the provision of clean and safe drinking water at Chalala Kanya Primary School. Haresh Kathrotiya, the Managing Director of Tulsi Tea, emphasized the critical nature of addressing issues like insufficient toilet and wash facilities, as they impact overall hygiene, and health of students, and hinder their learning abilities. The school transformation program in Chalala has already demonstrated positive outcomes, evident in reduced absenteeism and the establishment of a more conducive learning environment.
In addition to these efforts, Tulsi Tea has also constructed a permanent dining hall with a seating capacity of over 100 for female students, providing a comfortable and hygienic space for communal meals. The comprehensive school transformation initiative in Chalala Kanya Primary School has positively impacted 288 young learners, ensuring they have access to adequate wash facilities, clean drinking water, and a hygienic dining hall within the school premises. This endeavour reflects Tulsi Tea’s strong commitment to making a meaningful contribution to society.
