WattPower, in collaboration with Aditya Green Energy Pvt, organised the Watt Tech Nexus technical session in Latur, Maharashtra, focusing on optimising the levelised cost of energy (LCOE) through advanced solar system design. The event brought together solar developers, design engineers, and project consultants to discuss how design decisions impact long-term project costs and performance.

The sessions highlighted how factors such as layout configuration, component selection, and system sizing influence both efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Particular attention was given to the use of simulation tools like PowerFactory to manage reactive power and ensure grid compatibility, crucial for maintaining system performance over time.

Drawing on experiences from active Kusum projects in Maharashtra, Rajasthan, and Gujarat, speakers shared practical insights demonstrating the need for location-specific design adaptations. Variations in terrain, load profiles, and local conditions reinforce that LCOE optimisation requires tailored approaches starting at the design phase. These real-world learnings offered attendees actionable guidance for improving project returns across diverse settings.

The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session, allowing participants to engage with experts on technical challenges and implementation strategies. WattPower and Aditya Green Energy indicated plans to continue their collaboration in developing solar solutions that address regional requirements while supporting India’s clean energy goals.
